Punished for Compassion: The True Cost of Cannabis Prohibition in Ohio

Facing 2–7 years in prison—for safely delivering cannabis to veterans, seniors, and patients who cannot leave home.
At Cinci420, we invested thousands of dollars to rigorously verify every customer’s age and ensure compliance—going far beyond state requirements. We proudly served those most in need: veterans coping with PTSD, seniors suffering chronic pain, and disabled patients unable to visit dispensaries in person.

But instead of gratitude or understanding, Ohio law enforcement chose punishment:

They targeted the elderly parents of Cinci420’s owner, harassing innocent seniors in their own home.

They seized $25,000 of hard-earned cash from the owner’s mother’s completely unrelated small business, threatening her financial security.

Meanwhile, opioids kill tens of thousands annually. Alcohol and tobacco cause hundreds of thousands of deaths. Yet cannabis remains responsible for zero overdose deaths.

We did everything right—and were punished anyway. This isn’t justice.
